The Peak District National Park is a superb choice for keen cyclists. Wonderful stretches of road and demanding hills are a constant challenge to the cyclist. With the closure of so many railway lines in the 1960's there are many very safe cycle routes that have been created from the Beeching cuts. The Tissington trail is one that also has a cycle hire centre for those more inclined toward a leisurely weekend cycle. The hotel offers space for the storage of cycles.
